Assistance
The members of our foundation know how much of a financial strain breast cancer can cause on a family. Our financial grants are intended to help ease the financial burden families dealing with breast cancer endure. Our Well Wishes program is designed to offer hope and encouragement when a financial strain is not yet present. Please review the criteria for both programs below. If you are a social worker or patient navigator in an emergency financial situation, please email hello@josettememorial.org.
Financial Hardship Grant
Criteria
A candidate for the financial hardship grant must be undergoing or have undergone treatment as a result of a breast cancer diagnosis, show a need for financial assistance, and is a current resident of the State of Ohio. Candidates should be as detailed as possible when completing the application. Please allow 4-8 weeks for application processing.
Financial hardship grants from the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation are designed to offer one-time financial support. Applicants who have received assistance from the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation in the past will only be considered for an additional grant if there is a significant change in their medical history (ex, new surgery or medication needed) and our budget allows. First-time applicants will always be considered before individuals who have already received assistance.
We no longer accept paper applications. Please use the link below to submit an application. Submit questions regarding Financial Hardship Grants to Aimee Monaco at amonaco@josettememorial.org.
"Well Wishes" Program
Criteria
Well Wishes is a program dedicated to spreading hope and encouragement to women and their families affected by breast cancer. Examples of Well Wishes include flowers, Edible Arrangements, Amazon gift cards, restaurant gift cards, and more.
Well Wishes are intended to provide support when there may not yet be a known financial need. During each grant round, applicants may apply for either a Well Wishes or a grant, but not both, to ensure our resources effectively reach those in need. Both Well Wishes and financial grants should be considered as one time support.
If you know someone who could benefit from a Well Wishes gift through the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation, please contact us using the link below for more details. Please include the patient's name, address, phone number, and information about their breast cancer diagnosis.
