Our hope is to positively impact the lives of Northeast Ohio families affected by breast cancer. So, they have more time to enjoy the precious things in life.
Breast Cancer doesn’t just affect the patient, it affects the whole family: physically, emotionally and financially. We work to raise funds for families in need.
This foundation stands to honor Josette and the many strong women and families who have experienced lifelong changes because of this disease.

A group of friends started a Run/Walk Club spring 2009 in Canton, OH. Knowing the anniversary of Mary’s mother and family friend Josette Beddell’s death was approaching, Aaron and Beth Jones suggested a 5K Run/Walk in Josette’s memory. To everyone's surprise, over 80 people showed their support and nearly $1,000 dollars was raised and donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research. Feeling motivated Mary Beddell, David Beddell, Aaron and Beth Jones and John Kaminski got together to start the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation.
Formally founded with voting board member Mary Beddell, David Beddell, John Kaminski, Aaron Jones and Beth Jones on board. The 2nd 5K was a success story with close to $12,000 dollars raised at this flagship event.
The Wind Chime Ball was born. Many people have asked about the meaning behind the name -- our namesake Josette was a wonderful mother, wife and friend and while she left our lives too soon she left those that knew her with a gift. She told us that once she was gone she would always be with us and that when we heard wind chimes that we would know that she was around. And with that "The Wind Chime Ball" was born, a silent auction/raffle celebrated every winter this event is a celebration of life, love, health and friendship.
The Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation continues to grow and give back to the community, helping a record amount of families in the NE Ohio region.
